Typhoon Emong Leaves 27 Dead, Several Missing and Widespread Destruction in Northern Luzon

9 March 2009

Killer typhoon "Emong" leaves the Philippines with 27 dead, several missing and a trail of havoc and destruction across much of Northern Luzon.

TV footages show fallen electric posts blocking the highways, trees uprooted, roofs blown away, even whole houses destroyed.

The National Disaster Control Center through Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro has assured government help to the typhoon-stricken.  Let's pray for our fellow Pinoys in Northern Luzon and do whatever else we can to help them.
