Erap's Running Ad Shows Him Tapping a Pedicab Driver on the Shoulder and Overtaking Him — Erap Says He'll Donate Earnings to Orphanages

11 July 2009

A TV ad featuring former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada endorsing a food supplement for arthritis shows his legs are still strong enough for him to run.  The second version of the advertisement shows him tapping a pedicab driver on the shoulder — an unmistakable reference to Mr. Padyak, Senator Mar Roxas — and overtaking him.  If anything, Erap's ad is bound to further heat up the forthcoming presidential race in 2010.

Eto ang tinatawag nilang sagasa, something which nobody else has. As the ad's director Jun Urbano pointed out, Erap's got the best of both worlds since he gets exposure with the commercial and does not pay anything for airtime since he is just a talent in it.  Erap himself is quick to point out that he will donate his ad earnings to charity, to orphanages and to the poor. Na-scoop nang husto ang mga kakompetensiya dito.
