Suspect Mark Bryan Magno Released on Bail, Denies Complicity in Mauling and Shooting of Ateneo Law Student & Aquila Legis Member Don Albert Pangcog

9 July 2009

Mark Bryan Magno, one of the suspects in the mauling and shooting last week 0f Ateneo law student and Aquila Legis fraternity member Don Albert Philippe Pangcog has been temporarily released after posting P200,000 bail.  Mrs. Raquel Magno, mother of Mark Bryan, joined her son in jail while awaiting his release. Mark Bryan denied knowing Don Albert personally and he also denied being a member of Utopia fraternity, a rival of Aquila Legis.

"Bahay lang ako, studying, playing computer games, then slept," said Mark Bryan as he insisted he was not in the scene of the crime.

Atty. Alberto Pangcog, father of Don Albert, disputed the claims of innocence of Mark Bryan Magno saying that Mark Bryan was about to hit his son Don Albert when the latter simply defended himself.

Mark Lester Magno, brother of Mark Bryan, is also a suspect in the frustrated murder case but he has not surfaced since the incident.
