Traffic Rerouting for Burial of INC Executive Minister Ka Erdy Manalo, Sept 7 2009 — With Map of Commonwealth Ave Near INC Central Temple Area

7 September 2009

Today, the nation joins the Iglesia Ni Cristo brethren around the world as they bring the body of Brother Eraño G. Manalo, also known as Ka Erdy to millions of INC faithful, to his earthly resting place inside the Central Temple complex.

GMA News has published the following traffic rerouting advisory, portions of which I quote below:
Fernando said the road stretching from Visayas Avenue to Commonwealth Avenue in Central Avenue has been closed to vehicular traffic since 12 midnight on Saturday and would remain closed until Monday. The stretch from Luzon Avenue to Elliptical Avenue would likewise be closed.

Parts of Tandang Sora stretching from Visayas Avenue to Commonwealth will likewise be closed as well as the stretch extending from Commonwealth to Capitol drive. The east bound side of Commonwealth Avenue will also be closed to motorists.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes surrounding the INC palace such as the Sauyo Road-Mindanao Avenue route in Dahlia as well as the San Mateo Bridge-Marikina road in Batasan.

Those passing in Libis can take the C5-Katipunan road while motorists can also take the Quirino Avenue-Novaliches road. Fernando said another alternate road is the C5-Katipunan-Tandang Sora-Zuzuaregui-Commonwealth road.

This is a GMA News report by Love Añover at Unang Hirit earlier this morning:

KA ERDY LAID TO REST AT NOON SEPTEMBER 7, 2009

As scheduled, Ka Erdy Manalo was laid to rest at the Tabernacle inside the INC Central Temple Complex at noon today, September 7, 2009.  The country's top leaders and thousands of INC brethren personally witnessed the solemn ceremony. Outside the Central Templex complex and in their homes, millions more followed the event.

This is the GMA News Balitanghali report by Pia Arcangel and Raffy Tima.

These are earlier flash reports by Connie Sison showing the casket bearing Ka Erdy being transferred to the Tabernacle and inside the Tabernacle just before he was buried.

God bless Ka Erdy Manalo and the millions of our fellow Pinoys around the world who belong to the Iglesia Ni Cristo congregation!
