Senator Noynoy Aquino Visits Urban Poor Communities of Bgy. Doña Imelda in Q.C. and Baseco Compound in Tondo, Manila, Sept 12, 2009

13 September 2009

In a clear attempt to bring himself and his message of change closer to the masses of the Filipino electorate, Senator Noynoy Aquino visited the urban poor communities of Barangay Doña Imelda in Quezon City and the Baseco Compound in Tondo, Manila.

These places are known bailiwicks of former President Erap Estrada.  One of the value of forays such as this for Noynoy is to gauge his support among the D and E economic groups where majority of voters belong.

The video clip of the GMA Weekend News report by Sherrie Ann Torres shows the senator sitting down with supporters and residents in a small house apparently to discuss about community matters.
