Fans Split in Their Sentiments on Ruffa - John Lloyd Romance

Fans and ordinary observers alike weigh in on one of the hottest showbiz toics of the day, the budding romance between beauty queen and talk show host Ruffa Gutierrez and teen idol John Lloyd Cruz.  

The results are mixed with some strongly opposed but more appear to approve or express tolerance of the relationship.  For John Lloyd's fans, the opposition could be the result of just plain jealousy. For others, it could be that they are separated in age by a full nine years (Ruffa was born on June 24, 1974 while John Lloyd was born June 24, 1983) or the fact that Ruffa although separated is still married and has two young daughters.

Annabelle Rama Throws in the Towel on Ruffa-John Lloyd Romance — "Mga Fans, Sumurender na Rin Kayo!"

"Mga fans, sumurender na rin kayo, hayaan na natin silang dalawa," with those words feisty Annabelle Rama threw in the towel on the now-confirmed John Lloyd-Ruffa Gutierrez romance. With the no. 1 oppositor obviously won over by John Lloyd's persistence, nothing apparently stands in the way of a deeper relationship that just a few weeks ago was still being adamantly denied.

Annabelle Rama made her public sentiments known when she guested in Ruffa and Ai, the ABS-CBN morning variety show of Ruffa and Ai-ai Delas Alas.  

Annabelle said of John Lloyd, "Bilib lang ako sa kaniya dahil nga hindi siya natakot na pumasok sa ganitong klaseng gulo.  Tine-text ko siya nang masama ... hindi naman siya nag-reply ... alam mo hindi siya galit sa 'kin ... ibig sabihin hindi siya huminto. Sa text ko sa kaniya, pinapahinto ko siya at alam niya yun kung ano'ng mga text ko sa kaniya ... pero in spite of that, sige pa rin siya kay Ruffa kaya surrender na nga ako. Ayoko nang makialam kasi nagiging kaaway ko ngayon mga apo ko.  Ah, hindi naman si Ruffa nagiging kaaway ko, mga anak ni Ruffa."      

Mga nahihirapang manuyo diyan, humingi kayo ng tip kay Lloydie.  Hehe...

Annabelle Rama, Ruffa's Mom, Dares John Lloyd Cruz — "Magpakalalaki Ka! Kung Talagang In-Love ka sa Anak Ko Umamin Ka In Public!

The ever controversial Annabelle Rama has thrown a daring challenge to young actor John Lloyd Cruz.  Annabelle dared Lloydie:  

“Magpakalalaki ka, ok!. Kung in-love ka sa anak ko umamin ka in public. Kasi, I don’t think nakakahiya si Ruffa kung ... nakakahiya 'yon kung hindi mo siya inaamin, di ba ... para siyang kept woman di ba? Kung talagang mahal mo ang isang babae, you should be proud! Kung hindi ka proud sa anak ko, di ‘wag ka nang manligaw!"  

In response, Ruffa could only say, "I don't know, I think you should ... I don't know, I don't know what to say!  Quiet na muna ko, di ba?!"
