I learned this morning from Ms. Rosal of the DSWD main office that Director Finardo G. Cabilao, the slain Philippine social welfare attache to Malaysia, will be laid to rest at around 3pm today, August 18, 2009 at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City. Prior to his interment, there will be a mass at the Our Lady of Peace Church. For details, please call up any of these DSWD tel. nos.: 931-80-68, 951-71-21, 931-91-47.
Finardo G. Cabilao is an authentic Filipino hero who died in the line of duty defending Pinays who were being prostituted in Malaysia. He died in a foreign land faithfully defending Filipino honor.

In spite of unexpected hitches yesterday, I made sure that whatever happens I would be present in the burial of Director Finardo G. Cabilao. I arrived late at the Manila Memorial Park at exactly 4pm and but was still able to take some pictures. Unfortunately, for some undetermined reason, I've been unable to upload any picture to Blogger since last night. I'll post the pictures here as soon as the problem is resolved. Thank you for bearing with me.
9:15am Been able to upload this picture but it's taken an enormous amount of time.

20 August 2009 4:09pm I thought I've had the problem resolved but I still could not upload the original picture files directly to Blogger; what I did here was to copy/paste the picture to Word, clip it from there, save in jpg format then upload the resulting picture file to Blogger.

By the time I arrived, the interment crew was already shoveling back soil into Finard's grave.
