Actor Richard Gutierrez is out of danger but he is still under observation while confined at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang, Muntinlupa City after a horrible car accident early this morning in Silang, Cavite. Actress Annabelle Rama, who called Richard's surviving the accident a miracle, said that her son sustained no fractures in his body and is able to walk after undergoing a successful surgery which reportedly lifted shards of glass from his face and had stitches on his brows. Richard also reportedly sustained a wound on his forehead.
At around 1:20 am, Richard with two companions was driving his sports car on their way home from a shooting along the Tagaytay - Santa Rosa Road in Barangay Puting Kahoy, Silang, Cavite when he lost control of his car, rammed into and shattered a lamp post and fell into a ravine. Richard's car was travelling as part of a convoy and it was his fellow Kapuso stars who came to their aid.
Richard's personal assistant, Nomar Pardo, was rushed to the Adventist University of the Philippines Hospital in Silang, Cavite but he was declared dead on arrival. Richard's bodyguard, George Mastura, also sustained injuries and was rushed together with Richard to the Tagaytay Hospital and Medical Center. Richard was later transferred to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center where he underwent the surgery.
