This is the transcript I prepared of Part 2 of Eric Chua's interview with Kris Aquino at SNN aired last night on ABS-CBN.  I can't guarantee that this transcript or the first one is error-free; this is only my best-efforts transcription based on recordings I made.  Should you find errors in these series of transcripts, I'd be glad to be informed so I can correct them.  Maraming salamat po:

 

Kris:   Tell me your story, from the … everything to do with  the computer, the hard drive, the break-in …lahat, from your point of view.

Eric:  What do you mean break in?  Because?

Kris:  Because yes, you were given the key … I’ll clarify that, yes, yung ano … yung pagsunod n’yo sa inutos sa inyo …naaalala mo yung araw?

Eric: Dec 9 po yon.

Kris:  The girl in question is …?

Eric:  The girl in question was, she went to Vicki’s residence to inform her about yung mga infidelities ni Hayden.

Kris:  Why?

Eric:  Ah, since mabait si Vicki talaga sa kaniya …

Kris:  She worked for Doktora?  Right?

Eric:  She worked for Doktora.  Vicki was nice to her and the boyfriend was really nice to her.

Kris:  Si Bistek was also very good to this … to Princess, let me just say it for you para hindi ikaw… was very good to her, tapos?

Kris:  And then na-guilty siya?

Eric:  Na guilty siya

Kris:  Why did she feel the need na ikuwento kay Doktora? … The guilt?

Eric: The guilt, yeah.

Kris:  Sino una niyang kwinentuhan? 

Eric:  Si Bistek po. Yun na po yung December 9 na lumapit po si Princess kay Dra. Vicki.

Kris:  Kasama si Bistek, hindi?  Wala?

Eric: Mag-isa lang po siya. Kasi nagsabi siya na ‘Magrere-resign na po ako Maa’m,’ She told Vicki, ‘Ok, I had a thing with Hayden.’

Kris:  Pa’no ka na-involve, pa’no na-involve si Bistek?

Eric:   Ayun so, nung sinabi ni Princess, sabi ni Vicki …

Kris:  Naniwala si Dra.Vicki kay Princess?

Eric:  Naniwala siya pero parang hindi niya matanggap.  

Kris:  Ok.

Eric:  So, sabi niya, ‘Ano pang nalalaman n’yo? Sabihin n’yo lahat.’  Pagkatapos no’n pinatawag kaming mga …

Kris:  This is the 9th? December 9, yes.

Eric:  Pinatawag po kami ni Dra. Belo para itanong sa amin yung aming …

Kris:  Who called you?

Eric:  Ah … it was Bistek who called me.

Kris:  Ok.

Eric:  Vicki wanted to talk to us about Hayden. Me, Princess, Bistek and this other guy.

Kris:  That you don’t want to name.

Eric:  Yes.

Kris:  This happened, yung paghaharap na ’yon?

Eric:  At Vicki’s place in Dasma..  Tapos sinabi ni Vicki sa amin, ‘Ano ba yung naririnig ko? Ano pa‘ng nalalaman n’yo?’ sabi niya.  Kasi ayaw niyang maniwala.  So binanggit naman na kung ayaw maniwala merong mga video recordings alam naming nasa computer n’ya.

Kris:  So the knowledge of these video recordings came from you guys …, you were the ones who told her?

Eric:  Yeah.

Kris:  And what did she say?

Eric:  She said she wanted to see them.  She gave us the key and told us to go there and get the computer…

Kris:  Eto yung condo, ni Hayden?

Eric: Pinakuha niya …

Kris:  Yung?

Eric:  Yung mga computers.

Kris:  And she said, siya naman nagbayad no’n or property naman ‘yon ng Belo?  What happened?

Eric: Kinuha namin sa condo, binalik namin dun sa bahay ni Vicki. Yung driver ni Vicki na si Alan, si Princess, ako at si Bistek.  (Author’s Note: Here, Eric mentions the name of  Dra. Belo’s driver, Alan.  It appears, however, that  the third guy is somebody named ‘Sip’or ‘Zip’ that Hayden would mention later in this transcript?)

Kris:  What  happened?

Eric:  Ah, nag-usap, usap pa lang kami, bubuksan namin yung isang computer… pagkatapos ay … ah, nakatanggap kami ng  text message na si Hayden naggu-goodbye … papakamatay na ‘to.  Punta kami dun sa condo kasi baka magpakamatay.

Kris:  Nung kinuha n’yo yung computer, nasaan si Hayden?

Eric:  Hindi ko alam kung saan siya…

Kris:  Pero wala siya, dun sa condo?

Voice Over: Dahil dito, minarapat ng SNN na balikan ang ilang part ng mga statement ni Hayden sa naganap na Senate inquiry para sa mas malinaw na paglalahad sa pangyayari.  

Hayden:  Yung isang kaibigan ko na di ko pinapangalanan, kinausap ako nagpunta kaming Nouveau … tinatanong n’ya ko kung bakit ko nagawa ‘to …

Sen. Revilla:  Yung video?

Hayden: Hindi, yung pagtataksil sa aking kabarkada po. Habang nangyayari po ‘yun, alam ko po na … si Eric Chua, saka si Sip, saka si Bistek Rosario nandun po sa house ni Dra. Belo… nag-uusap na sila do’n. Sinabi po nung  kaibigan ko pagkatapos naming mag-usap na, ‘Sige na, bumalik ka na sa bahay mo… dahil habang nag-uusap tayo, kinuha na nila yung laptop mo tsaka hard drive mo.’  (Author’s Note:  The name ‘Sip’ above could have been ‘Zip’; I can’t really clearly figure it out. )

Pagdating ko po sa bahay, nung makita ko ho na wala na ‘yung hard drive, tinuluyan ko na po yung sarili ko  … nag-take ako ng 30 na Valiums para magpatiwakal.

Eric:  Two MacBook Pros and one Sony Vaio …

Kris:  Pinakuha ni Doktora at dinala n’yo sa kaniya.  Nasa ospital tayo, nag-goodtime  Naiwan sa bahay niya yung tatlong ‘yon?

Eric:  Opo.

Kris:   Nang di pa nabubuksan…

Eric:  Hindi pa po.

Eric:  Nung Dec 18, pinupunta niya kami sa residence niya.

Kris:  Again?

Eric:   sa Dasma, opo.

Kris:  Ok, tapos?

Eric:  Para buksan yung computer.  So pumunta ko …

Kris:  Sino?  (Author’s note: This portion is unintelligible)

Eric:  No, just me this time.  

Kris:  Oh no, Ikaw na lang … Nasa’n si Bistek?

Eric:  Bistek wasn’t there.  But I was with a friend.

Eric:  Bistek wasn’t there.  She told me to open the laptop

Kris:  Ok. Bakit, di ba ino-ON lang naman ang laptop?

Eric:  Di yata siya marunong mag-open ng mga files.

Kris:  Ok, so ano ... walang password?

Eric: May password po,

Kris:  Pero, eto, she knew?

Eric:  Alam niya, nahulaan niya.

Kris:  Na eto yung mga possible. 

Eric:  Oo. 

Kris:  So, she was the one who gave you the password?

Eric:  Yes.

Kris:  Sa dinami-dami ng tauhan ni Vicki Belo at sa dinami-dami ng … an organization as big as hers … she can get anybody to open those computers.

Eric:  Yes, she can.

Kris:  Why you?

Eric:   ‘It will be alright to see them,’ that’s what she told me.

Kris:  So binuksan n’yo?

Eric:  Opo.

Kris:  Pinanood n’yo?

Eric:  Pinanood po namin.

Kris:  You?  With her?

Eric:  Yeah, but we weren’t like watching it and enjoying it. We were scanning through the thing.

Kris:  Ini-scan lang?

Eric:  She had to go to a meeting that time …

Kris:  So, ok, nag-scan, mi-nark, what happened?

Eric:  Ah, pina … pinagawa … pina-burn niya sa isang DVD yung mga lahat ng recordings… she gave us a DVD.

Kris:  One DVD lang?

Eric:  One DVD.

Kris:  You gave her the DVD?

Eric:  Yes.

Kris:  Diretsong tanong,  did you make a copy for yourself?

Eric:  No.

Kris:  What happened, binigay n’yo sa kanya?

Eric:  Sabi niya, burahin namin yung mga natitira sa computer so binura namin, binura ko…

Kris: So, all those that were inside that MacBook Pro, nabura … to the best of your knowledge you deleted?

Eric:  Yeah.

Kris:  Somewhere along the way, you stopped being a friend obviously?

Eric:  Oh yeah, because they dragged my name into the whole scandal.

Kris:  Mapangahas na tanong. Do you believe they got back together?

Eric:  I can’t … I can’t say  but if you ask my opinion,  they got back together.

Kris:  Asking you, do you believe that it was Dra. Vicki Belo or anybody close to her na sila ang responsible sa pagkakalat ng video na ‘to?  Kasi kung pinaninindigan mo na hindi ikaw and you never had a copy …

Eric:  I’m a mite curious but this is just guessing, you know, and I can’t say them on TV because that will be doing what they did to me  … pointing a finger … I really can’t do anything, but … I can’t answer that.

Voice Over:  Samantala, May 27, matatandaang binitiwan ni Lolit Solis ang linyang ito tungkol sa diumanong plano raw ni Eric kay Vicki …

Lolit:  Huwag mo ‘tong i-deny Hayden, kausap lang kita kahapon, Kahapon sinabi ko … o ano ngayon ang mangyayari?  Ano’ng mangyayari?  Ano’ng sasabihin ni Eric Chua?  sabi ko sa kaniya, Alam mo sagot niya, ‘Si ano daw po, si Vicks daw po ang ituturo ni Eric.’

Kris:  (Author’s Note: I couldn’t figure out what Kris was asking here?)

Eric:  I really don’t know with Dra. Belo … I really don’t know …

Kris:  Ok. But what you do know?

Eric:  But what I do know is that the DVD was with Dra. Belo.

Kris: … Do you want talaga na si Dra. Vicki ang madiin sa isyung ito?

Eric:  You know …

Kris: Or, are you really just trying to defend and clear your name?

Eric:  Yes, I just want to clear my name. I’m not here to point a finger at anyone … because I don’t know … but I know the truth and  the truth is … Dra. Belo had the only copy.

Bistek Rosario Talks to Jay Ruiz of ABS-CBN, June 9, 2009

Dr. Mark Herbert "Bistek" Rosario has come out in public for the first time since the Hayden Kho sex video scandal broke out.  He gave an interview with Jay Ruiz in a report shown tonight on TV Patrol.

What he had to say basically has been said by Eric Chua. He said Hayden Kho was a very close friend, somebody he considered like a brother. "This was a guy that I really trusted ... siyempre I got really angry din," Bistek said when he learned about the relationship between Hayden Kho and his girlfriend, Princess Velasco.  The resident doctor says he's gone on voluntary leave from the hospital where he's working as a result of his being implicated in the scandal.  

But one significant aspect of his story is that, as a doctor, he checked his friend Hayden's condition when they reportedly rushed to Hayden's condominium after the latter apparently tried to commit suicide and Bistek Rosario led the group in rushing Hayden to Makati Med. Dr. Mark Herbert "Bistek" Rosario, it now appears, probably saved Hayden's life. 

"Napatawad ko na siya," says Bistek of his former friend Hayden Kho.

My impression is that Dr. Mark Herbert "Bistek" Rosario's TV persona in his interview with Jay Ruiz looks very much different from their group photograph (Hayden, Bistek and Eric) which by now has been flashed countless times on TV.

Ted Failon Expresses His Gratitude to All Those Who Prayed For and Supported Them in Their Terrible Ordeal

Ted Failon who has been vindicated by NBI official findings that his wife, Trina Etong, committed suicide, has given this brief message to the Filipino people:

Ngayon pong nailabas na ang NBI report, makapagpapahinga na po kami ng aking mga anak at makapagluluksa.  Napakahirap po kasi ng sitwasyon na kayo na ho 'yung namatayan, kayo na 'yung nawalan, kayo pa ho 'yong pinahirapan nang husto.  Sa lahat po ng taong nagdasal at nagdarasal, tumulong po't tumutulong para kami makaraos sa problemang ito ... maraming, maraming salamat po.

I'ts Official from the NBI — May 21, 2009 — Trina Etong, Wife of Ted Failon, Committed Suicide

This just came in.  It's official news from the NBI.  Trina Etong, wife of ABS-CBN broadcaster Ted Failon committed suicide.

John Consulta of GMA-7 reported that NBI Director Nestor Mantaring has announced the findings in an ongoing press conference.  According to the NBI, it is impossible for Ted Failon to have done the shooting given the time frame of the incident.  It was disclosed, according to John Consulta's report that Trina asked a bank manager named Joy to falsify bank records to make it appear that her account still has a substantial balance.  The bank manager reportedly refused.

Delay in the NBI's Release of Its Trina Investigation Findings Beginning to Hurt Its Image of Credibility, Competence and Independence

Delays in the NBI's release of the results of its investigations in the Trina shooting case have begun to tarnish its image of credibility, competence and independence in the eyes of the Failon family, the media and the public in general. This is the NBI's fault since it made the public believe that its report would have been out by now but so far, it has come up with nothing.   

In the video report below, there is a statement of Kaye Failon (I have grown accustomed to calling her using Ted's screen surname) wherein she said, "It's been 27 days since my mother passed away and until now me, my father, along with the rest of the immediate family haven't begun to grieve because of the investigation surrounding my mother's death."

Kaye continued, "At a time when our family should be spending private moments with each other, helping each other cope and finally move on, we instead spend our time cooperating with the NBI."

This statement by Kaye is now markedly removed from her earlier initial assessment of the NBI in this post, Kaye Failon Thanks NBI for their Professionalism as Ted Failon Answers Probers Questions.

The statements attributed to DOJ Secretary Raul Gonzales to the effect that "Ted Failon is not yet off the hook," has not made the NBI's job any easier. 

After all, how many subordinates would be eager to disprove the word of their boss who, up to now, apparently conjures in his mind images of a guilty Ted Failon in spite of the massive absence of evidence with which to pin him down? Proof beyond reasonable doubt is the quantum of proof required to convict in a criminal charge. Even the shadow of that proof is no longer available to the NBI — negative paraffin tests, two top forensic experts saying it was most probably a suicide, negative gunpowder residue in Ted Failon's clothes, video clip submitted by the Failon family showing that Trina was ambidextrous indicating she was probably capable of firing a gun using not only her left hand, but also her right hand.  

The earlier the NBI releases its report, the better it will be for all of us.

We need Ted Failon back in his radio and TV posts where he serves our country best and his children back safely with the thought that, without their mother, there is this entire nation ready to rally to their cause once more whenever unexpected aggravation and difficulties abound.

NBI Eyeing Suicide in the Shooting of Trina Etong

"Our investigation is leaning to suicide but our probe is not yet over so we cannot categorically say it is suicide."  This is the statement that is being attributed by GMA Channel 7 reports to NBI spokesman Ric Diaz.  

I have not seen any video clip of this declaration by Mr. Ric Diaz but it appears to be compatible with recent developments in the Trina investigation.  

You will recall that no less than Kaye Failon has thanked the NBI for its professionalism. Coming from Kaye, that's telling a lot.  More recently, the test on the clothes that Ted Failon wore when he rushed Trina to the hospital on April 15 has yielded negative for gunpowder residue.

We have to remember that criminal conviction requires proof of guilt "beyond reasonable doubt." 

The biggest doubt so far are the twin autopsies conducted on Trina wherein two forensic experts commissioned by Ted Failon himself, Drs. Erwin Erfe and Raquel Fortun, have given their expert opinions that Trina's wound was most probably self-inflicted.  The way the doubts have piled up and as proof required to secure a Ted Failon conviction diminishes, it is but to be expected that the NBI would want to slowly ease up on Ted and his family.  This is so especially because of the torment that the Failons have suffered at the hands of the Quezon City police. The NBI has nothing to gain if it publicly appears to be aggressively pursuing a murder, homicide or parricide case that has obviously lost a lot of its steam.

Trina Case "Mystery Man" Delfin Lee in YouTube Simpleng Usapan Video Interview

It turns out my ignorance of who Delfin Lee is has been massive.  It now appears that Delfin Lee is the Donald Trump of the Philippines!  Whoa!  I've known about Trump for years.  But Delfin Lee?  This is a rude introduction.  Mea culpa!

To make up for that, here are three video clips from YouTube showing Delfin Lee in a Simpleng Usapan with Noel Jorolan interview.  These video clips, of course, are totally unrelated to the Trina Etong suicide case:

And if we are to base it from this telebisyon.net report, Delfin Lee's got only Donald Trump's business acumen but that he has the opposite modest demeanor with a matching character to boot:

Nagsimula ang involvement ni Delfin Lee sa ABS-CBN noong 2000 nang humiling si Ted Failon na mag-donate ng house-and-lot package bilang premyo sa Hoy Gising. May rekomendasyon si dating Executive Secretary Lenny de Jesus.

Mula noon, naging supporter, anonymously sa simula, si Mr. Lee ng mga projects ng ABS-CBN at DZMM. Ayaw niya ngpublicity pero nagdo-donate siya ng mga wheelchair at gamot at scholarship.

Sa totoo lang, marami ang nagbibiro sa kanya na siya ang Kapamilya Big Brother dahil sa suporta niya.

Kahit sa kumpanya niya, isang pilantropo. Halos kalahati ng mga empleyado niya ay napaaral niya.

"Hindi naman pwedeng puro kabig lang," sabi niya.

Lahat ng ginagawa niya, mga project niya, ay may "personal touch." May personal contact siya sa lahat ng kanyang mga empleyado.

Pati ang mga buyer niya, personal niyang kinakausap, kinakaibigan.

"Dapat, kaibigan ang tingin nila sa akin para maganda," sabi niya.

Delfin Lee's a lot less of a mystery to me now.

Trina's Close Friends Say She Made Hints of Planned Suicide

Close female friends of the late Trinidad "Trina" Etong, wife of ABS-CBN broadcaster Ted Failon, came out into the open yesterday claiming that Trina told them of her planned suicide. Their disclosure supports an earlier admission by Kaye Failon that her mother committed suicide.

In an interview by ABS-CBN reporter Jing Castañeda aired over TV Patrol, SNN and Bandila, Joy Tan said that days before April 15, Trina had told her of her money problems, that she did not want Ted to lose her trust in her and if that happened, she no longer wanted to live. 

Joy said that Trina wanted to attend Charisma's graduation and after that, she wanted to go.  Joy added that Ted gave ("intrega") all of her earnings to Trina and took only allowances for himself. Trina who obviously mishandled the money could not handle her guilt feelings and that was what drove her to commit suicide.  

Jackie Bartolome, another close friend of Trina, confirmed Joy Tan's story.  "Kung guilty si Ted bakit ko siya pagtatakpan?  Kaibigan ko si Trina at babae rin ako!"

Let's continue to pray for the Failon family, for our government authorities that they may go about their duties with respect and concern instead of arrogance and abuse and for our nation that we may stand united not just by writing or talking but in actually doing something to fight the maladies that stalk our land.

Remember that injustice wins more often by default. Kapag walang kalaban, siyempre mananalo ang pang-aabuso at kawalanghiyaan.  Tapatan natin ito ng katwiran at pagkakaisa at mananalo rin tayo!

GMA-7 Videos Tell Us the Latest in the Ted Failon Household Tragedy

Tragedy struck the Ted Failon household yesterday morning as his wife, Trinidad Etong, reportedly attempted suicide and is now in critical condition at the New Era  General Hospital in Quezon City.

There are those who because of the circumstances suspect foul play.  It's too early and it's unfair to make any conclusions at this time while the police are still conducting their investigation.
