DZMM Teleradyo announcing suspension of afternoon classes in preschool, elementary and high school in Metro Manila (NCR) Sept. 9, 2009, Wednesday
8 September 2009 11:33pm
In tonight's edition of Bandila, Ron Gagalac reported about ten minutes ago from Pagasa that the weather monitoring bureau will recommend to the DepEd any suspension of classes for Wednesday, September 9, 2009 by 4am.
Continuous rains for the past few days brought about by the southwest monsoon (hanging habagat) has caused heavy flooding in a number of Metro Manila areas which might necessitate a suspension. In Malabon, flooding prompted Mayor Tito Oreta to order the suspension of afternoon classes in five barangays earlier today.
In any event, I hope this wait won't be as long as the last one. Ingat po kayo.
