Asked why their mother, the inimitable former First Lady Imelda Romualdez-Marcos, did not come to the wake, she said:
"Sabi niya eh mas mainam na siya'y magdasal na lamang at huwag nang mabigyan pa ng anumang bahid ng pulitika o anumang duda sa aming sinseridad na makiramay lamang."
