Imee Marcos and Bongbong Marcos with wife Louise "Liza" Araneta-Marcos have visited the wake of the late President Cory Aquino just a few minutes ago.
I'm tuned in to ANC listening to the discussion among Che-che Lazaro, David Celdran and Ricky Carandang and looking at video clips of the Marcos children taken earlier.
Ricky described the historic encounter between the Marcos and Aquino children as respectful and gracious on both sides. When I first tuned in, they were showing video taken earlier of Bongbong seated with his wife Liza to his left, Imee to Liza's left and seated beside Imee was Jiggy Aquino-Cruz, Cory's grandson who helped entertain the Marcoses. Ricky informs us that Ballsy went out to greet the Marcoses and that former Senator Butz Aquino, brother of the martyred Ninoy Aquino, also did the same.
Former President Fidel V. Ramos has also arrived. The live shot now shows Senator Mar Roxas with wife-to-be Korina Sanchez.
The two-hour necrological rites for President Cory will start at 4pm.
