Atty. Manuel Jimenez, Jr., father-in-law of slain Ruby Rose Barrameda-Jimenez, voluntarily surrendered to Angono police yesterday and is now under "hospital arrest." According to Police Supt. Rommel Escolano, Jimenez presented himself to them bearing a copy of the warrant of arrest that had been issued against him as one of the accused in the gruesome Ruby Rose slay.
A former heart bypass surgery patient, Atty. Jimenez complained of severe chest pains and was admitted to the Angono Medics Hospital after surrendering himself. When asked by GMA News reporter Lei Alviz whether he's willing to be jailed when his condition improves, Jimenez replied, "Hindi kwestiyon ng willing o hindi. Ang tingin ko kwestiyon ng kung kaya o hindi. Siguro sa kondisyon ko, kung gusto ninyong mamatay ako, alisin n'yo 'ko sa ospital."
Jimenez is under tight police guard while under hospital arrest.
