Transparency is the only way by which we can be sure that there is no overpricing by these oil companies. A system should be set up in such a way that prices can be audited not only by the DOE, the BIR and the COA but also by the Filipino people themselves. As the people who bear the heavy burden of oil prices and the taxes that come with them, we should have an easy way to determine what the real prices of oil products should be.
