Novartis AG, the Swiss pharmaceuticals company has announced that it has produced the first batch of experimental vaccine for A(H1N1) or swine flu virus. The vaccine was produced in the company's plant in Marburg, Germany.
It will be months before a vaccine is commercially available because from here, the first batch will be subjected to pre-clinical evaluation and testing. The WHO is saying that any H1N1 vacccine will likely be ready for sale by October at the earliest.
