There is a huge public uproar over Willie Revillame's reported outburst when scenes of the Cory cortege transfer from De La Salle Greenhills to Manila Cathedral were shown as a live feed while ABS-CBN's Wowowee was on the air.
Fortunately for Willie, no less than Cory daughter Pinky Aquino-Abellada graciously gave him the benefit of the doubt when she said, "He didn't mean it, I'd like to think of ... 'cause like I said I saw him last night at the Cathedral paying his respects to my Mom."
But the public outcry appears to persist. No less than MTRCB Chairman Consoliza Laguardia has given the view the Willie committed unethical conduct in making his on-air utterances. Willie's apology has been published by the Philippine Daily Inquirer but even that has not squelched the negative reaction. The problem Willie faces is that he's figured out in quite a few of these episodes that not many people are willing to be as kind to him as Cory daughter Pinky has been.
