Jeepney driver Gerry Landicho had a lucky day — he had found a watch, a Rolex watch, which is now believed to have belonged to Richard Gutierrez but was lost during the car accident in Silang, Cavite on May 22.
Little did Gerry realize that the same Rolex watch would become what we call in the vernacular, "mitsa ng buhay niya."
Gerry was found dead Wednesday, July 29, along the Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa Road in Cavite. He sustained two stab wounds. His earnings were intact and the jeepney was left behind by the robbers but they apparently took the Rolex watch from Gerry. What he believed was a fortune eventually cost him his life.
