The fiery and fearless Jamby Madrigal has declared her intention to run for President of the Philippines in 2010.
Madrigal's announcement was received with derision by Villar spokesman Gilbert Remulla who said, "Siya ay sumasama na rin sa mga ranggo nina Eddie Gil at Ely Pamatong na talagang nagbibigay-buhay at saya at galak sa ating eleksyon."
You will recall that Madrigal and Remulla had a very public verbal spat just before the Senate Committee of the Whole decided to try the ethics case against Senator Manny Villar, the so-called "double insertion case" in the 2008 national budget in connection with the C-5 extension project.
"Good luck and congratulations sa kanya," was a much more polite comment from Senator Mar Roxas, Liberal Party standard bearer for 2010.
"To those of who you may question my personal motive, I have none. Simple lang ang layunin ko. Ang maglingkod nang tapat sa inyo. Panahon na para makabawi ang Pilipino!" was how Jamby put her decision to run.
