I just found two (2) tuition-fee related proposed Senate Resolutions filed by Sen. Manny Villar.
One of these proposed Resolutions is SRN 921. One of the things that this proposed Resolution says is that "the aforementioned deregulation policy introduced by BP 232 has transformed education in private schools into a lucrative business and quite regrettably, tuition fee increases have reached a startling 370 percent from the time it took effect.
Proposed Senate Resolution No. 921 was filed on March 3, 2009 and consists of three (3) pages, as follows:

The other proposed Resolution is SRN 908 filed on February 24, 2009 (I'll post it when I return). You can take an advanced look at it here, the Senate website.

Unfortunately, as far as we can tell, nothing much is happening to this laudable proposed Resolution. Let's urge Senator Mar Roxas, chairman of the Senate Committee on Education, Arts and Culture to immediately start hearings on this proposed Resolution.
What both Senators Roxas and Villar can do is to make announcements, either separately or jointly, that they will work together to put an end to the oppression and misery suffered by the millions of parents who send their children to private schools from pre-school, to elementary, to high school and to the tertiary level.
For the future of the next generation of Filipinos!
Ngayon na po, now na!
To God be the glory!
